One of the first courses I took at university was Psychology 101. Our lecturer, Dr. Jordan, asked us to draw a tree, a person, and a house. She invited us to her office later for detailed analyses based on our drawings. One of the things she said about me is that I have average intelligence, and I like shortcuts.
I’m not sure I agree with her, but I do like to keep things simple. That’s why 3CB Rates have one basic principle: everything for 3,000/=! You could scroll down to the summary, but just in case you’re curious about crossing the t’s and dotting the i’s, here’s how it works.
All 3CB Services are built around the 3,000 bob mark. For creative writing, which is anything from magazine articles to short stories, I charge 3,000/= per page. A page is 300 to 600 words, the average word count on an A4.
Scripts are slightly different, since much of the text is stage direction. Poetry generally has fewer words per page as well, due to verse arrangement. The charge for these two genres is 3,000/= per page. A page is 150 to 300 words.
Online work has a wider audience and more longevity than printed documents. Each web page is accessed via individual clicks. For this reason, web pages are charged separately, even though a web page sometimes has 100 words. The cost per web page or blog post is 3,000/=.
For technical writing, which includes CVs, proposals, reports, or industry-specific work, the charge is 3,000/= per page. Where research or ghostwriting is required, there’s an additional charge of 500/= per page.
The catch is that the minimum charge is 3,000/= so I work with clients to adjust their needs to fit within 3,000/=. This could mean anything from increasing the word and/or page count to making multiple orders.
Editorial tasks include proofreading, copy-editing, and substantive editing (including rewriting), and manuscript reviews. Once again, the benchmark is 3,000/=, and is based on volume. Editorial tasks are split into 3-page batches, where one page is 300 to 500 words.
I also offer editorial administration in form of content management and digital strategy. Digital strategy has a one-off fee of 12,000/= for three (3) sessions plus a 12-page report.
For content management, you could choose to have a 3,000/= consultation or a monthly service of 12,000/= per platform. The monthly fee covers 12 posts per platform i.e three posts every week on either Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Whatsapp, Telegram, or SMS. You could choose to have additional weekday posts and/or weekend posts at the cost 1,000/= for every post.

**Where writing tasks require ghostwriting or research, there’s an additional cost of 500/= per page.
